Mayela standing next to an ancient Yuca Plant in her ancestral lands Tepezala Aguascalientes Mexico, This plant is at least 5,000 years old and part of a semi-desert ecosystem that is currently under threat by mining companies decimating the environment aggressively within the last 8 years especially.
